Around 30% of Avondale’s storage space is taken up by small to medium sized businesses.

We have customer’s that just need to store boxes of paperwork. They generally do this to free up space in the office for an extra desk, or simply to keep the clutter out of sight. As storage rooms are as small as 20 square feet, there’s no need to rent more space than necessary. On the other hand, if you’re a larger business or an accountancy or solicitors’ firm, you may need a much larger room, they go up to 300 square feet and if racked out, can hold hundreds of document boxes.

Ebay and other online sellers are also popular Self Storage users. They tend to like the flexibility self storage affords them. They can change room size as often as they like, this helps, as again they only need rent the space they need. So, as the seasons change and the stock levels vary, they can move to an appropriate room.

Self Storage room’s are a great place to keep expensive tools and equipment, they’re much safer locked away in self storage than in the back of a van. Builders and tradespeople especially like the convenience and piece of mind it gives them.

We have several shop keepers who store stock, either because they don’t have room in their shop or because it’s out of season.

Most of the above appreciate and make use of our facility of taking delivery of stock from couriers, whether it’s an envelope or a pallet, we’re happy to sign for it and store it away safely in your room. There is no charge for this facility, even if it involves use of our forklift truck,  it’s just part of what we do.
